Ingredients
- Eight ounces spaghetti, or your preferred pasta;
- four tablespoons divided butter;
- one pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined;
- one-half teaspoon salt;
- one-half teaspoon crushed red pepper;
- four minced garlic cloves;
- two tablespoons lemon juice;
- three tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese;
- and two to three tablespoons chopped fresh parsley for garnish
DIRECTIONS
- Cook the pasta as directed on the box in a large pot of boiling salted water; drain well and set aside one cup of the pasta water.
- Melt two tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the shrimp, crushed red pepper, and salt. Stirring occasionally, heat for two to three minutes, or until the shrimp turn opaque pink.
- Take off the heat and place aside.
- Add the remaining butter and garlic to the same skillet, and heat for about a minute, or until fragrant. Stir together the parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and pasta water.
- After transferring the pasta, combine it with the sauce in the skillet.
- Place the shrimp on top, then sprinkle parsley on top. Serve right away.
