Instructions for picco De Gallo

  1. To prepare the gallo de pico: Dice the onions, tomatoes, and jalapenos very finely. To make your pico spicier, leave the seeds in your jalapeños. The amount of jalapenos should be adjusted to your desired temperature.
  2. Finely chop a generous amount of cilantro. Before chopping, just remove and discard the long, leafless stems. There’s no need to fully separate the leaves from the stalks. Combine all of these ingredients in a bowl and thoroughly whisk to combine.
  3. Fill the bowl with half of a lime’s juice. Taste-test salt and mix once more.
  4. To prepare the avocado:(optional): Initiate with creamy, tender avocados. Cut them in half lengthwise, then remove the pits. Scrape the flesh onto a large plate using a spoon. Next, mash the avocados using a fork or the bottom of a clean cup, being careful to leave them somewhat chunky. To taste, add only a few shakes of salt.
  5. Incorporate a substantial portion of pico de gallo and blend thoroughly.
  6. Drizzle with lime juice from half of the lime. Give it one last stir.
